Biographical Notes 

Born in 1958, Jerusalem. Shai Ginott is a biologist by training from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and a self-educated photographer. She began her photographic career as a fine arts and landscape photographer at the Israel Nature Reserve Authority. Shai also graduated from the Heschel Center for Environmental Learning and Leadership’s fellows' program and from Naggar School’s photo-therapy program, Jerusalem.
Her photographs have appeared extensively in newspapers, periodicals, calendars photo-poetry books and others. Shai has lectured, taught and lead "drawing with camera" workshops and long-term programs for Hi Tec photography students in Israel. She is a book photo-editor and a curator.  In 2021 she curated the nature exhibition “Global Nature. Local Nature” in Eeretz Israel museum, Tel Aviv.
Selected Professional Experience
Guest lecturer in the UN, New York (2012) and in London (2013) on world awareness day for Autism with her lecture and exhibition "Mothers album".
1990-2013 Teaches and leads various photography workshops and is a guest lecturer worldwide (Ministry of Education Singapore and Photographic society, 2005, Photographic society, at the Photography and Design Center in Caracas, Venezuela, in Rome, Germany, Japan, Great Britain, Cyprus.
1990-2014 Traveling exhibitions on show worldwide by Foreign Ministry of Israel.

2004 Nature Phenomena – a weekly column at the Ynet internet magazine.
