Biographical Notes 

Born in 1958, Jerusalem. Currently divides her time between Israel and Portugal.
Shai Ginott is a biologist by training from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and a self-educated photographer. She began her photographic career as a fine arts and landscape photographer at the Israel Nature Reserve Authority. Shai also graduated from the Heschel Center for Environmental Learning and Leadership’s fellows' program and from Naggar School’s photo-therapy program, Jerusalem.
Her photographs have appeared extensively in newspapers, periodicals, calendars photo-poetry books and others. Shai has lectured, taught and lead "drawing with camera" workshops and long-term programs for Hi Tec photography students in Israel. She is a book photo-editor and a curator. 
Selected Professional Experience
Guest lecturer in the UN, New York (2012) and in London (2013) on world awareness day for Autism with her lecture and exhibition "Mothers album".
1990-2013 Teaches and leads various photography workshops and is a guest lecturer worldwide (Ministry of Education Singapore and Photographic society, 2005, Photographic society, at the Photography and Design Center in Caracas, Venezuela, in Rome, Germany, Japan, Great Britain, Cyprus.
1990-2014 Traveling exhibitions on show worldwide by Foreign Ministry of Israel.

2004 Nature Phenomena – a weekly column at the Ynet internet magazine.
